1:6 Playscale Mixers


Ok, so I finally worked up the nerve to paint these little cuties.  I just had to have one in Pale Pink & Aqua Blue.  These little mixers look so much like the real-life KitchenAid Mixers and I am absolutely in-Love with them.  They were made in the 1990's and are extremely difficult to find anymore.

I made alot of customizations to them.  They were painted, and then glossed.
I adjusted the bowl so that it is removable, this way the paddle can be showcased too.
All the black knobs and really tiny screws were added and then I installed the cords with silver-tipped plugs at the end.
The tiny screws are from an old broken laptop I took apart just for the screws...lol.  
The thin white cords and plugs were from new ear-piece speakers I took apart, and all the little realistic pins and levers were from pieces in my sewing and tool kit.

    These are wonderful...love all the customization you did! Only a passionate miniaturist would take apart a laptop for screws, lol...I would totally do that too! And I love the sweet pastels you chose...just delectable♥

      Ha... I was actually first eye-ing some tiny screws in one of my son's old robot toys and when he saw me with his toy in one hand and the screwdriver in the other... he had a fit... lol it was quite funny :o) Roxanne

    I love the work you did with this mixer! I would love to buy one but there are no listings for them in your Etsy..are you all sold out?       Hi Natasha, Yes I do have one available ready for customizations if you would like one.
      You can choose the color of the mixer and the color of the cord too, I have been making the cords in both white and black (just like the real-life ones). I have been so slow to list it in my etsy shop... I can get so caught up with new projects and custom orders and everything just winds up temporarily on the back burner...lol Send me an etsy convo. :o)
