Just added some new sewing & crafting books, yarn & thread bobbins to my 1:6 Scale Sewing Kit.

Below is a side by side comparison of my 1:12 Sewing Basket and my 1:6 Sewing Bin.

A closer look at what's inside the 1:12 Scale Sewing Baskets.

1:6 Scale Sewing & Kitchen Butcher Block Table

I made some sewing trinkets for a sweet friend yesterday and decided to make something new for my Etsy Shop too.  I just love anything Cath K. related and her new Owl Scissor Holders are just so adorable that I just had to make some in miniature.  Everything pictured is in 1:6 Scale... but the smaller scissors work well in 1:12 scale since they are just 3/4" of an inch tall.

I also made a Kitchen Butcher Block Table too.  I love the mix of white and the natural wood grain together... it's very farmhouse cottage chic.

1:6 Scale Kitchen Island Table

This weekend I decided it was finally time that I had a proper 1:6 Scale Kitchen Island.
So I followed the plans for a real-life Table and scaled it down to size.
It was quite a bit of work but the finished results are so worthwhile, I am super excited about it and wanted to share pictures of how it turned out.

1:6 Playscale Cupcakes & Cake Stand

This week I made some pretty Cupcakes and Cake Stands in 1:6 Scale.
I had so much fun setting up this baking scene... maybe too much fun :o)
I printed and hand-cut lots of cupcake wrappers, made tiny cupcakes using air-dry clay and pieced together these marvelous cake stands.
Ok... so I'm keeping this little post short but sweet... Here's to a wonderful and creative weekend!
Till next time,
Roxanne

1:6 Playscale Cupcake Wrappers

I spent quite a bit of time making these lil' cuties and I'm absolutely thrilled to be able to display these throughout my Baking Scenes.
I don't know what it is about Cupcake Wrappers... but they make me sooo happy... and to see them in this mini size... makes me smile even more :o)
They're such an easy thing to collect in real-life, I love finding them in pretty Pastels, Florals and Dots.  I like to display mine in Glass Cookie Jars and Glass Canisters in my Baking Hutch and throughout my kitchen.

1:6 Playscale Coffee Maker

This is what I worked on just yesterday.
A wonderful Red Coffee Maker complete with a cord and plug.
I also made a box of Coffee Filters, and some filters filled with "faux" coffee grains ready to be brewed.
I have been collecting these Vintage 1:6 Scale Coffee Makers for a while and finally took this one apart and customized it.
After my customization were made, with some carving, sanding painting and realistic additions... It now comes apart into 4 different pieces just like in real-life.

1:6 Playscale Baking Scene

I have been working non-stop on minis in both 1:12 and 1:6 Playscale...
but for today I have put together a wonderful little 1:6 Scale Baking Scene that was alot of fun to make.
The 1:6 scale Red KitchenAid Mixer you see was a custom order and is already gone... I miss it already.

I hope this post find you all well and I hope you enjoy the pictures, until next time :o)
