Added a new Cake to my Counter

I added a new cake to my Miette Bakery Counter.  It's such a dreary rainy day today and not a very good day for pictures, but days like these are great for making minis.  So I think I'll fill another display :o)

Bakery Counter

 Made a Bakery Counter filled with Miette Bakery cakes for a Storefront that I have been working on for awhile.  I love their San Francisco Bakeries, with their shabby, yet modern and minimally decorated classic cakes... and can't wait to finish my Bakery... it just needs a little more work before it's complete...but it's almost there.  Below are some pics of their Bakery Cakes and the counter I made.

Chocolate Candy Heart Cupcake

 Last night I made a sweet little chocolate cupcake with the teeniest tiniest chocolate candy heart to match one of my cookbooks.  It was really difficult to roll out a piece of polymer clay this thin and then hand-sculpt it into the shape of a heart...but I am soooo pleased with the results :o)  The Cookbook is titled "Betty Crocker Cupcakes".  Hope you all love this sweet little tray too.

Shabby Ice Cream Trays

Just made some shabby little trays with Ice Cream and Gelato Glasses along with a Colorful Recipe Book that I made.  Didn't think I could pull off making Ice Cream....but I had so much fun creating the texture for it...I just might make some more ;o)  There's Rich Chocolate Ice Cream with White Chocolate Chips, Chocolate Chip Mint Ice Cream, Pistachio Gelato, and a Classic Strawberry Ice cream.

Baking Cookbooks with Recipes in Miniature

I made these wonderful Cookbooks complete with colorful illustrations and recipes inside.  The pages inside are miniature versions of the real-life size cookbooks.  These would be great in a miniature kitchen showcasing the recipe.

I was able to make some more Miniature Cookbooks over the weekend.  There is a little bit of everything in these sets...but mostly on Cookies & Tea Time.  Hope you enjoy viewing these...I love making them!

Sweet Little Baking Cookbooks

 I created my template for these sweet little baking cookbooks several months ago...I kept putting this little project off because I knew that it would take alot of time to hand make these.  But I must admit... it was really fun once I got into it ;o) and now that I can see my end results, I really can't wait to make a few more.

Shabby Recipe Boxes

 

I have wanted to do these recipe boxes for so long now....and today was the day I finally did.  I took the measurements from my lifesize Recipe Box and scaled it down to a 1:12 Inch Scale Size, created a template and then hand cut the recipe boxes and the tiny index cards. They even flip open and close just like the real thing.  Now I finally have a shabby little recipe box in my mini kitchen.  I couldn't stop at just one... so I made a few extras to list in my Etsy Shop too.
