I have wanted to do these recipe boxes for so long now....and today was the day I finally did. I took the measurements from my lifesize Recipe Box and scaled it down to a 1:12 Inch Scale Size, created a template and then hand cut the recipe boxes and the tiny index cards. They even flip open and close just like the real thing. Now I finally have a shabby little recipe box in my mini kitchen. I couldn't stop at just one... so I made a few extras to list in my Etsy Shop too.

Feature on American Miniaturist April 2011 Issue#96
I am so over-the-moon thrilled with the 6 page feature Traci over at American Miniaturist put together on my very first Bakery Storefront. I made it last Easter 2010 and decided to do an interior "make-over" for this Easter 2011. She was such a doll to work with. Traci thank you so much :o) It was a wonderful experience.

Sweet Shabby Memory Display Boards
I managed to make a few more shabby items last night before my allergies got the best of me and then I absolutely just couldn't make anything else...lol I've wanted to make these for a very long time now...I just love love love sweet display boards...will have to hang one of these in the Shabby Treasures Shop soon.
Also painted a Fridge in a pretty shade of pink to make it a bit more shabby and re-did the Display Cabinet in the Shabby Treasures Shop.

Miniature Shop - Shabby Treasures
I spent a lovely weekend putting together a Miniature Shop that I have named "Shabby Treasures" and was so inspired by one of Rachel Ashwell's stores shown below:

A Shabby Valentine's Display
I made a batch of pink meringues and didn't know where or how I'd display them. Then I remembered I recently purchased some of Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic Note Cards with the intention of using the tiny prints to make something in miniature....and those little cards inspired me to created this set below.
Along with the polymer clay meringues...I made some tiny Angel frames from polymer clay, sweet little journals from the note cards and I created some Heart shaped Lace Candy Plates & a Heart Shaped Pastry Stand. Some of the furniture pieces were created by me. I guess it turned out to be a Shabby Valentine's Day Display. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures just as much as I enjoyed making everything. I will add some of these items to my Etsy Shop later today.
