I'm so happy I was able to add a Store Front & Flip Top Roof to my Handmade Roombox. I ended up cutting the plexiglass myself and built the store front with Trimmings & Pieces that I purchased and cut to fit into place. This was my first attempt at somthing like this...so now I think I will be more confident when putting a kit together or maybe even building another shop from scratch...so this was a wonderful stepping stone for me. I must admit I think I changed the interior wallpaper about 3 times...lol But this time around I think these tones add warmth to my little shop. Also, the little girl I sculpted last month finally found a place to call her own...I made a new dress for her and tied her hair up and I just love her so much more now.

Fondant Rose Cakes
If I could sculpt Fondant Rose Cakes all day long...I would be so very happy :o) I find sculpting the Roses to be really relaxing. I made these a few weeks back...not much going on right now with my sculpting...I really need to start working on something new. I have been spending way too much time putting the finishing touches on my Mini Roombox Bakery and going back and forth to the miniature store to buy trimming and things for the store front and roof. Still need to add the roof and buy the plexiglass for the windows. Will definitely post pics...once the store front is in place.

60th Miniature Keepsake Birthday Cake
Yesterday I worked on an order for a 60th Miniature Keepsake Birthday Cake that I created in Fimo. Customer only ordered the cake...but I just couldn't help myself...the cake looked so lonely. I hope she likes the extras, there's a Window Cake Box, Birthday card with "Happy 60th Birthday" printed inside, 1 large box filled with treats and 1 small giftbox that can be opened & filled, on a little handmade table. Cardstock crafts are so much fun...hehehe

I LoVe Pim's Euorpean Biscuits, Do you?
They are by LU and are imported from Belgium. The tangy Raspberry/Framboise filled ones are my favorite, they also come in orange. They have a soft, light biscuit and a dark chocolate topping. I find them to be very rich and decadent, and even though they are quite thin and petite...one or two always satisfies my craving for them. Below is my version of these delectable treats in polymer clay.

Macarons, Macarons...and more Macarons
My first batch of macarons....were not all that great (and no I will not show you a pic :p ), in fact my 4 year old is happily playing with them...he get's so excited when I give him the bad batches...lol What else am I to do with them? This way they get to ride around in his toy cars and we're both happy.
Now this batch I am quite happy with...I'm really loving the "feet" (frilly edges) this time around with my new technique.
